Hey there, I’m Caroline!
I’m a wife and mum of 3. I have spent over 20 years working in the Public Sector and have had many a stressful day! Don’t get me wrong, there have been many good days too but I always feel it is the hard days that make you reflect. I have gone through some tough times in my life, like many, but I needed to find a way to cope. It can be difficult to turn off our negative thoughts and feelings. I spent years letting stress and anxiety build up until it got so bad I would literally explode! The only people suffering from this explosion was my family! I knew something had to change.
It took many years to learn but one thing I found helped me was documenting my feelings and dealing with them as they happened. This was not an easy journey!
One of the most important relationships that make up your life is the relationship that you have with yourself! The way you treat yourself, speak to yourself, or even follow through on promises you’ve made to yourself can impact your overall mental health and wellbeing. It is easy to fall into a cycle of pleasing others and seeking their validation. However, this takes away from your ability to trust or even love yourself. The relationship you have with yourself also directly impacts the way in which you connect with others.
This has lead to me starting this blog in the hope that I can provide some practical tips and empowering insights to nurture your mind, body and soul. Together, we can unlock the potential within and create a happier, more balanced life. Remember, self-care isn’t selfish; it’s a beautiful act of self-love and empowerment.
